Bougainvillea reminds me of my grandmother's garden, hot summers, playing under sprinklers and fresh oranges picked from the orchard! I don't want to talk about the spikes!
This art work captures the delicate essence of the Mediterranean beauty, the crisp, papery bracts reveal a darling little flower that hides from the summer sun! The colours mirror this, within the shadow of the Bougainvillea. It is on delicate thin paper, I love this artwork, it is lacquered , this brings out little nuances often missed and adds a great depth to the piece.
