In "Restore," I delve into the intricate realms of shape, pattern, and form inspired by the Protea. This artistic endeavour was born from a desire to invigorate my approach to painting and mark-making, all while maintaining a heartfelt connection to my admiration for plants and the enchanting memories of my childhood garden escapades. The deliberate juxtaposition of the loose application of paint against the robust form and structure of the protea captures a dynamic tension.
