Artwork Description

This artwork is one of a pair of drawings that capture the essence of youthful energy and grace. "Side Steppin" evokes a sense of balance and self-awareness. The warm sanguine tones emphasize her fluid and powerful movements whilst the flowing skirt fabric is a symbol of both freedom and elegance as it contrasts with the sharp defined lines of her form. There is both energy and calmness in this pose, inviting the viewer to reflect on the relationship between motion, grace and inner strength.
The drawing is protected by cold wax varnish, mounted to a cradled board with a floating frame. It is ready to hang.
