“Amber Dreamtime” is an original abstract painting designed to bring warmth, luminosity and a sophisticated sense of calm to contemporary interiors. (Note that the lead image is photo taken in our office, the others show it with a brighter more even light)
Created using our signature ‘scientartist’ technique, layered metallic gold pigments form intricate visual textures that shift and reveal themselves as light moves across the surface.
True to every pete+chrissy, every look reveals new details within the layered gold surface. Depending on the light, the painting shifts between soft champagne tones and rich luminous gold.

We are pete + chrissy, contemporary Australian artists creating original abstract works inspired by the movement, energy and natural rhythms of the coastline and earth.
Our work is known for its luminous quality — layers of colour, light and subtle texture interact to create pieces that shift and evolve throughout the day. Collectors often describe our paintings as opalescent and alive in different lighting.

Using our signature “scientartist” approach, we develop and refine our own paint combinations to create depth, cellular detail and organic flow that cannot be replicated. Each piece is the result of both experimentation and control — where art and process meet.
