“Green Ocean Dreamtime” is an original abstract painting designed to bring warmth, luminosity and a sophisticated sense of calm to contemporary interiors.
Created using our signature ‘scientartist’ technique, layered metallic pigments form intricate cellular textures that shift and reveal themselves as light moves across the surface.
True to every pete+chrissy, every look reveals new details within the layered surface. Depending on the light, the painting shifts between soft teal tones and rich luminous aquamarine and greens. We have included a shot of the painting in very low light and as you can see, the colours transform.

We are pete + chrissy, contemporary Australian artists creating original abstract works inspired by the movement, energy and natural rhythms of the coastline and earth.
Our work is known for its luminous quality — layers of colour, light and subtle texture interact to create pieces that shift and evolve throughout the day. Collectors often describe our paintings as opalescent and alive in different lighting.

Using our signature “scientartist” approach, we develop and refine our own paint combinations to create depth, cellular detail and organic flow that cannot be replicated. Each piece is the result of both experimentation and control — where art and process meet.
