We often have inspiration when creating these paintings but we are more thrilled when our clients see something that is meaningful to them... For us, we were inspired by the contrasting colours that flow so beautifully together.
This painting is an endless discovery of patterns and interest with layers of colour creating a depth through Pete's signature Mosaic Method!
" Shimmering Sands" is an array of tonal metallic copper and various metallic rose gold and white gold and champagne colours contrasted to strong purples, bright blue and ochre. I doesn't sound as though those colours go together but seeing is believing - they do! and ever so beautifully!
The metallic lines glisten and change with varying light. With many of our artworks, the canvas and/or our techniques create different textures! All part of the discovery when viewing our paintings!
The energy of the artwork in person* is far more impactful than what you see on the screen. It's vibrancy and motion will easily lift a room (and your spirits!)!!!

Effort has been made to size the image in the rooms proportionately to the furniture, however we don't always get it right so please measure your own furniture to make sure this image is right for your room!

We try to match what we see on our monitor to the painting but all monitors are different so the colours tones and hues you see may not be true to the original. Also our paintings can be difficult to photograph because they are so vibrant that the depths and breadths of the colours change depending on the amount of light.
