There is just something about the ocean and beaches isn't there?. They tend to calm us and excite us at the same time! And we love to convey that feeling through this original painting:
This piece is an endless discovery of patterns and interest with layers of colour creating a depth through Pete's signature Mosaic Method! "Turquoise Tide" is a contrast of tonal metallic hues of blue ,and frothy white and soft beige, champagnes, creams and sand colours creating an impressionistic view of a sandy beach.. .. we love that our beach paintings evoke different memories for each person.
(although chrissy loves the touch of outback ochre that reminds her of fun experience in Western Australia!)
The metallic blues and inlays of lines of gold, rose gold and white gold glisten like light dancing on the water as it flows over the sandy beach. Definitely a statement piece!
