Artwork Description

This simply is a tribute to beach culture. A female surfer, in a white bikini holding a classic longboard.
The cropped composition feels almost cinematic and literally pulls into the scene. The warm, golden tones contrast beautifully with the deep blues of the ocean and sky, giving that perfect sun-drenched, summer vibe.

The light and shadows give the piece a dynamic, almost graphic quality, emphasizing the contours of the figure and the dings on the board. “Lusty’s Board Shack” is a hark back to my teenage years, learning to surf, discovering new people & places and love for the beach.

Overall, it’s just a cool bit of art that captures the freedom and beauty of coastal life.

Hope you like it

Artist Bio

I’m a Melbourne based artist capturing the Sun-Drenched Spirit of the Coast.

My work is a vibrant celebration of beach life—an homage to the sun, surf, and the people who find their rhythm by the ocean. Each piece is an invitation to step into a world where the waves are endless, the light dances on sun-kissed skin, and the colours pulse with energy.

With bold palettes, striking contrasts, and a touch of nostalgia, I try to bring to life the beauty of the coast and the characters who call it home. My artistic influences span the figurative storytelling of Kenton Nelson, the dreamlike compositions of René Magritte, the evocative imagery of Bo Bartlett, and the raw energy of Jean-Michel Basquiat & Reg Mombassa. David Bromley’s distinct style has also shaped my vision, helping me craft an aesthetic that is both contemporary and timeless.

Through my art, I aim to bottle the essence of beach culture—its freedom, its vibrancy, and its ever-changing moods—so that wherever you are, you can always find yourself by the sea.
