Artwork Description

This is my impression of the big country sky in South West Australia. I rode my bicycle through the SW of Western Australia and came across this country scene and huge sky. I tried to capture that feeling of space and freshness. It is a bright and cheerful painting that catches the eye.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive.
