Frangipani 1

This is a bright and happy impression of a frangipani tree and flowers and leaves. I lived in an area with many Frangipani (Plumera Obtusa) trees. I loved the contrast between the dark green leaves and white flowers under blue skies I tried to capture the patterns of the leaves in a simple style. I painted a series of 12 paintings

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive.
