This painting is a part of a series of paintings I did based on the Frangipani trees near where I lived. I tried to capture the colours of the leaves, the flowers and the patterns on the leaves. I made a time lapse of me creating this piece you can see. It is a bright happy painting and I was happy with the result.
I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them.
