Friday Night, Regal Theatre Subiaco

This is my impression of the Art Deco Theatre , The Regal Theatre, on a Friday night in Subiaco , a suburb of Perth. I tried to capture the feeling of a summer evening with the neon lights shining and people mingling before a show. I am happy with this small painting and the feeling it creates.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive.
