Peter Marr was born in Sydney and fortunate enough to grow up on the Harbour foreshores β always in and out of the water and believing (at least for the for the first few years of his life!) that the ground was made of sand.
Formative years skin diving and sailing brought an awareness of nature - its beauty and its forces β both above and below the waterline.
Away from the foreshore, Peterβs career in engineering took him around Australia and the World β different landscapes, harsh mining environments, lush tropical regions, tundra and snow bound areas.
All the while, Peter painted and developed other creative skills in printmaking, etching and ceramic painting, catching in courses and classes where time and location would permit.
In 2013 he moved to Orange in the central tablelands of New South Wales, and joined The Colour City Creatives Inc, a group of artists that have 2 galleries and numerous studios at The Barracks in Orange and is drawing inspiration from the other artists as well as the new environment with all its seasons.
His body of work continues to grow and develop and we hope that you derive as much pleasure in viewing the works as was experienced in creating them.
