Artwork Description

There is nothing I enjoy more than a walk in the forest, which of course inspired this latest painting of mine. The stillness of the forest and simply being able to get away from the stress of everyday life is such a joy. And, it will be a joy for you, having this beautiful work on your living room wall. Overall dimensions of this artwork are (W) 49cm; (H) 63cm (D) 2.5cm.

I started painting in my high school years and enjoyed the experience, successfully passing my Art exams. My working career has been in the world of finance and I spent 37 years with one of the "big 4" Australian banks (don't hold this against me!). Photography has always been a passion, too. About 10 years ago I decided to get back into the world of Art, not just as a collector but as an artist. I've really enjoyed the transition back into the art world. Creating works of art is so much more fun than the world of finance!
I'm a member of the Fremantle Arts Centre and paint both at the Centre and in my home studio. I paint in an impressionist style with both acrylics and pastels, and shamelessly love colour and bold brush strokes!
