"Blind Faith” delves into the complexities of the human condition, examining the interplay between religion and guilt. It confronts humanity of all individual views to face the reality of religion’s oppressive nature that can bind and control a person, all with the fear that they may never “make it” to resurrection, paradise, or heaven.
A man dissolves into the earth, a metaphor for the corrosive influence of religious dogma. With defiance, he clutches a cross aloft, a symbol of cognitive discordance, where despite all proof, he must still be correct, otherwise what would he have left? Surrounding him, crosses thrust from the ground, signifying the pervasive grip of organised faith.
It is a wake up call to highlight our meaningful existence beyond the confines of faith and needing to belong. Most of us just wait for a day to be saved, most of us just look for a saviour to worship. 2,000 years of “any day now.”
