'Botched’ is an exploration into the fascinating nature of the human mind, and the views, expectations and judgements individuals constantly face. The disconcerting world of strange standards and ideals are prevalent in every walk of society. It highlights the complexities surrounding the fixation we humans have with a deluded concept of perfection. Multiple eyes that circle around each other create a sense of voyeurism, reflecting the contradictory narratives of vanity and vulnerability, aspiration and desperation. My goal was to create emotional depth, evoking the raw essence of human nature and the judgment that comes along with it. The circular painting represents that constant presence of judgment, as if an invisible individual is in a perpetual cycle of how other people may perceive them.
