Abstract

My works start with a few marks on the surface, these suggest what I will do next. This is how I build up the image. I like to finish in rich, bright colours.
The acrylic paints, used are best quality, well known brands, made in Australis and the US.

I have only ever attended part time classes in sculpture with Paul Beedle, and Bruce Copping, and painting, and design with Brian Cowley, at the Newcastle Technical College (Tafe, now). For many years, I ran my own printing business, where I specialised in print orders for galleries, and other educational bodies. Work, that needed care in it's design.
I have had several One Man, and Three Man exhibitions, and exhibited regularly with the vonBertouch Galleries, in Newcastle. The Newcastle Regional Art Gallery, has one of my works in its collection.
