This work is built up layer by layer, each mark, or area, suggesting what to do next. The process continues until there seems, nothing else needs to be done. I work on various base materials, arriving at various textures. This time I have used heavy rough water colour paper. This has been laminated onto a plywood backing, to keep it flat and rigid, and then varnished, (it will not yellow with time). The acrylic paint I use, are high quality, and tend to be of strong colours. Often inspired by my love of stained-glass windows.
