Artwork Description

Mutawintji National Park is between Broken Hill and Tibooburra. It is a very unique and beautiful place. It has great walks through vistas like this one. In and near the rock pools hides is an abundance of wildlife. Well worth a visit.

Artist Bio

I’ve loved painting since an early age but my passion really started when I moved to Broken Hill. Travelling the far west of NSW as a district relief teacher and seeing the landscapes inspired me. I was fortunate enough to meet Eric Minchin one of the “Brushmen of the Bush” who taught me the basics of oil painting. I still travel to the outback mainly around the far west of NSW and the Broken Hill area. Occasionally with my daughter‚ Sarah‚ who is a photographer (http://frankly-photography.com/) who captures those iconic outback scenes which I never tire of painting. Since moving back to the mid north coast of NSW I have started painting some scenes in my local area which I also find enjoyable to paint.
