I am a self-taught artist living in sunny Brisbane. I grew up in the picturesque Northern Rivers region of NSW, a child of two artists and surrounded by creative people. Growing up, drawing and making art was my obsession and this carried through my school years and beyond, although I chose not to study art after school because of my health. After studying and working in the health sciences, I have come back to making and creating art as both therapy for myself and as a way to express and share with the world the beauty I see all around me.
My work is vibrant, colourful and happy, because I draw most of my inspiration from the things and places that make me happy - the beach, the ocean, flowers and the natural world in general. I work in acrylics, gouache and watercolour and occasionally like to play with other mediums such as inks. Each piece is an open expression of the beauty I see in the world.
