Departure and arrival are two most important things for those who experience from holiday. Departing is intentionally to arrive in a place where people want to meet their beloved family and friends, to explore new horizons, or to learn interesting knowledge. After arriving a destination, people depart for current home or work of their everyday life.
The painting is about a ‘bus station’ in Brisbane in a wet day. It is a place where people come, and go, then come again, whether or not the weather is. It tells the story of people’s experiences during the holiday, and life.
