Artwork Description

I see these beings, these creatures, in my daydreams.

He's some sort of snakehead guy who came from black and lost his pants but not his groovy t-shirt.

Do you think he's dead, sleeping or just 'walking like an Egyptian'?

Reducing art down to its essentials, to a simple white line on a black canvas, inspired by Pop Art icons like Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat and by the street art and graffiti I use to see every day walking through London.

Painted on a recycled canvas that followed me out of a failed relationship, across continents and went through a lot of failed paintings before blooming into that beautiful creature that is today.

Artist Bio

I'm a self-taught artist who likes to experiment with all sorts of techniques, supports and styles; from acrylic paintings to digital art, and from collages to small objects and furniture.

Currently, I'm mostly focusing on minimal acrylic paintings of magical, silly, weird creatures that take a bit from Keith Haring, a bit from primitive art, and a bit from some corner of my childhood memories - at the same time, experimenting with reusing, refurbishing and upcycling canvases, wooden boards and really anything that can be painted on.

I'm also an illustrator and I sell prints of my digital drawings of some of WA's historical and beloved grocery shops, pubs, bars and various buildings, on my Etsy store.

------

I was born and raised in Italy where I grew up surrounded by Classical, Medieval and Renaissance art.

In my 20s I started travelling the world, moving first to France, then to London for a long time and now to Australia, always going to museums and exhibitions anytime I could, discovering new 'non-traditional' form of arts from Banksy graffiti to native art.

Today, I made WA my home, splitting my time between Perth and Margaret River, where I'm currently setting up a studio all for me and my art.
