Pip Alevras is a landscape artist based in the Blue Mountains, NSW.
Working primarily en plein air, she sketches and paints directly in the landscape, responding to the changing light, atmosphere and sensory experience of place.
Her practice is concerned with capturing the feeling of being in the landscape rather than producing a literal representation. Through intuitive responses to colour, expressive mark-making and an enjoyment of the materiality of paint, her work explores the emotional and experiential qualities of the natural environment.
