As a result of many years of studying art, I have decided that no one medium is preferred. I jump randomly from watercolour, oil, pastel and acrylic to charcoal and graphite sketching. For me, certain subjects demand one particular medium – landscapes & seascapes in watercolour, portraits in oil or charcoal and animals and birds in pastel or acrylic.
I love the spontaneity of watercolour and the happy accidents that happen. I enjoy the precision of pastel and charcoal and I really have a great time when using a palette knife with acrylics!
I have exhibited at many exhibitions throughout Tasmania over the course of twenty plus years and recently had work exhibited online in an East Canada Pastel Association exhibition.
