Spooky Kid

"Spooky Kid" – a bold, satirical pop art portrait reimagining Marilyn Manson through the unexpected lens of Rudy Davis from "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids".

Blending opposing cultural references, the work creates a striking visual contradiction—pairing Manson’s dark, confrontational persona with the innocence of classic Saturday morning cartoon imagery. This tension drives the piece, transforming familiar identities into something distorted, ironic, and visually compelling.

Rendered in a clean, graphic style, the portrait emphasises exaggerated features, stark expression, and bold colour contrast. The simplified composition and flat background draw focus to the character’s unsettling presence, reinforcing the clash between nostalgia and subversion.

Influenced by pop art and lowbrow traditions, "Spooky Kid" explores themes of identity, parody, and cultural remixing—where humour and discomfort coexist in a single, striking image.
