Preksha Uppal is a Melbourne-based self-taught artist, although she studied fine arts at the university overseas but did not pursue her passion back then. She has now returned to the painting world after an 11-year hiatus. Her practice explores abstract and semi-abstract forms, blending emotion, memory, and intuition through layered textures and expressive colour palettes. Reconnecting with art has been both a personal and creative revival, and she is currently experimenting with a variety of mediums to rediscover her visual language.
Art has always been a part of her—quietly present, patiently waiting. Now that she’s returned, there’s no going back. Though she’s been painting in the background for years, she’s now stepping into the spotlight, aiming to make her mark through social media and online platforms. Her portfolio has evolved and expanded over time, with new works shared regularly as she continues to explore and grow.
Each piece reflects a journey of rediscovery, and transformation, inviting viewers into a space where spontaneity meets reflection. After delivering few commission art pieces both residential and commercial, she is planning to make her mark in art galleries.
