Growing up in Melbourne with a passion for art and design, an array of disciplines and approaches has shaped my art.
I studied Visual Art at RMIT for a year, focusing on traditional art mediums, where I learnt many ways to use oil paints, watercolours, inks and pastels to communicate senses of place, ideas and emotions. I then moved into Graphic Arts at Swinburne University and Multimedia Design as technology was taking off in the 90s. I used what I had learnt at uni to work in print and website design, producing visualisations of clients' companies, campaigns and communications.
Today I focus on my first passion, returning to traditional oils, alcohol inks, and pastels. I love to focus on natural elements, using patterns, shapes and everyday life as inspiration. I also am continuing my journey in digital media, producing pattern designs for fabrics and hand-drawn digital pet portraits of peoples' best friends.
