Artwork Description

I visited the wonderful Greek island of Leros in 2019. Pandeli is an enchanting fishing village overlooked by violet hills with ancient windmills along the ridge. It is a painter's delight. Warm sun drenches the labyrinth of white walled traditional houses which surround the small harbour and meander up the hills. The different blues of the sky and sea meet in a straight-lined horizon.

I like to paint what I see and experience in my daily life - from small snippets to large vistas. The streets and bushland near me are my inspiration. I enjoy being an artist and aim to convey that joy to others. Although I work with a variety of media, I love the plasticity of oil and acrylic paint, using multiple layers to achieve colour, texture and depth.
