Artwork Description

It rained a lot over the Christmas vacation of 2023, and although the weather forecast warned of torrential downpours, my wife and I just couldn't stay home any longer, and in the end this beautiful beach was totally worth it. The sea breeze was just the right temperature, the clouds in the sky were as even as milk, but it didn't rain a bit, and there weren't a lot of people on the beach so it was my turn to have some adventures on that big rock. All of it was just right. The bare rock on the ground temporarily dominates the majority of the image, as it is what I find special about this beach, the upper part of the image concentrates all the other elements, the waves, the surfers, the skiteborders, the city in the distance, the mountains in the distance, and the cloudy sky.

Artist Bio

I am a full-time landscape architect, who enjoys to record the things around me through painting. My paintings are full of life and rich in stories. Emphasis on light and shadow, whether it is hot midsummer or evening sunset, light and shadow is a sharp tool to capture time. My pictures have a degree of relaxation, with both a loose and relaxed "stage" (background) and fine and delicate "actors" (foreground). I like to capture the breath of life, whether it is the workers in the narrow alleys taking a break and smoking a cigarette, or the people who are lazy on the beach, or the people chatting in the park, or the people exploring in the wild forest and mountain streams, I like to record these bits and pieces.
