Artwork Description

A lily cannot truly be trapped or contained, for it is a metaphor of life itself. We cut flowers, putting them into vases to extend their short lifespans - but the sheer vitality of flora cannot be contained. Here, even a little petal is yearning for escape, falling from the bud in a bid to see the world outside. The vase is a prison, but one that can be escaped from.
