Qurban Ali was born and raised in Afghanistan, where he worked as a sign writer and graphic designer. He become a self-taught Artist since finding a new home in Australia twelve years ago. Based in Melbourne, Ali has exhibited at public artist run galleries including SEVENTH Gallery in Fitzroy and Connection Arts Space in Dandenong. He is also regularly commissioned privately for portrait and landscape paintings.
"Art gives me peace of mind to take images out of my mind from my past. Painting changed my life and gives me more confidence. Art connects me spiritually with my six sense, which exists in pure inner consciousness".
