Artwork Description

This artwork of a Japanese peony rose is rich in detail and texture. This artwork is influenced by a holiday to a peony garden in Japan where I came home full of creative inspiration. The impressive petal structure and vibrant colours contrast with the pale background. This is truly a statement piece of art.
Japanese Peony roses are also known as the 'King of Flowers' and used as a symbol of good fortune, bravery and honour. It is often used in tattoo designs to signify a devil-may-care attitude.

This painting has been surface protected with a clear satin spray varnish and has hanging wire on the back.
