Rachael Dobson is an emerging Australian artist based in the Riverina. Dobson favours oils and predominately applies the Alla Prima technique to her portrait paintings.
Since 2014, she has been developing her skills through workshops and online professional development courses.
Dobson’s artwork often features portraiture and figures that represent aspects of the human condition, exposing true moments of human character in a world that edits, crops and blurs.
To achieve the desired effect Dobson say’s she is heavily inspired by Masters John singer Sargent and Gustav Klimt.
Dobson has had a solo exhibition in 2021, ‘Pattersons Curse’ and been featured in group exhibitions with other local artists.
