My Collection 20

This work is a collection of some of my favourite treasures, collected, curated and then painted. The metallic leaf and ink details on the protea catch the light, contrasted against an ultramarine leaf. Inspired by my love of nature and colour, this collection is luminous against the wooden background.

I completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts in 1994 and have exhibited in numerous exhibitions and art prizes in Sydney. My artworks are primarily focused on capturing the details of found treasures. Growing up in the Blue Mountains, I felt a strong connection with nature. Now living in the Inner West of Sydney, I am constantly trying to find ways to connect with nature in a more urban environment. Discovering, appreciating, collecting, curating and recording are some of the ways I do this.
I work primarily in acrylic, watercolour & pencil and am available for commissions.
