Artwork Description

This work was inspired by a recent trip to Kakadu National Park (traditional owners, the Bininj and Mungguy peoples) in the Northern Territory. At Ubirr in the East Alligator (Erre) region, I experienced the spectacular, rapidly changing sunset, looking out over the Nadab floodplain. It was the most beautiful and vibrant sunset I have ever seen.

Artist Bio

I completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts in 1994 and have exhibited in numerous exhibitions and art prizes in Sydney. My artworks are primarily focused on capturing the details of found treasures. Growing up in the Blue Mountains, I felt a strong connection with nature. Now living in the Inner West of Sydney, I am constantly trying to find ways to connect with nature in a more urban environment. Discovering, appreciating, collecting, curating and recording are some of the ways I do this.
I work primarily in acrylic, watercolour & pencil and am available for commissions.
