Artwork Description

Butterflies are a powerful symbol of many things. Change, beauty, fragility, hope and even nervous feelings. Environmentally, they play a vital role in contributing to the health of our planet as pollinators. I have always loved their delicate, fleeting exquisiteness and in awe of how diverse they are around the globe. I have chosen to portray 99 different butterflies with one caterpillar to symbolize how we are all different, yet the same, with the opportunity to become more. I hope my audience will feel joy and contemplative when looking at my work.
