Autumn Credenza

This piece started out as just a simple black and white abstract. But over the weeks progressed to dried leaves and roses crushed shells and further layers of dripped and splattered paint giving it extreme depth and texture to the many layers. Finally the Finished piece was reached once I decided to pour the paint from the edges allowing it to run down and across the canvas. I was going for simplicity when it started but the end result of thick layering and depth and many textures is far from simplistic but finally spoke to me. I hope it resonates and speaks to you also.
