Artwork Description

Inspired by the ancient rock formations on the beach at Fire Bay, Tasmania. Abstract painting in a medium sized square format 18 x 18 inches. Ready to hang.
Colours are earth tones set against a deep wine-coloured background and a pale yellow strand of beach in the foreground.
The rocks have been distilled to essential forms, line, colour and shape.

Art School at 18 and later studied Art History at Oxford University. Lived in Florence, Italy for many years where I worked as an art critic. My second home is on the Greek island of Hydra. I moved there in 1986 and married French artist Michel Le Goff, on Hydra in 1993. I currently work from a home studio in Newcastle, NSW and visit Hydra, when possible.
