Gothic Arches

Lancet arches are long and pointed at the top - a feature of Gothic architecture. This is an abstract impression of Cologne, Chartres, the Abbey of Saint-Denis and many other Gothic cathedrals I have seen in 5 decades of travel around Europe. Gothic windows bring light and colour into dark medieval spaces.

Art School at 18 and later studied Art History at Oxford University. Lived in Florence, Italy for many years where I worked as an art critic. My second home is on the Greek island of Hydra. I moved there in 1986 and married French artist Michel Le Goff, on Hydra in 1993. I currently work from a home studio in Newcastle, NSW and visit Hydra, when possible.
