This painting is a tribute to my late friend Leonard Cohen and depicts him close to the end of his life, with a stray ginger cat that adopted Leonard.
I knew Leonard from Hydra island, Greece where he wrote some of his best songs in the 1960s.
Technique: I used a page on the musical term "Cadenza" from Chambers's 1924 Encyclopaedia as a support for my drawing. I like to mix surface textures.
