Artwork Description

The sky is a constant source of inspiration. Its constant changing is what interests me the most and how it is often a metaphor for life: its ebbs and flows, ups and downs, good and bad days.
Ephemerality is also something that has always interested me and been apparent in my work – the capturing of a moment, stop time and how we are constantly trying to capture moments and memories with phones etc. So this combination of nature, ephemerality and the sky makes a great marriage of everything I’m interested in.

Artist Bio

I am an abstract artist based in Brisbane, Australia. My recent works channel feelings and emotions evoked by my experience of natural landscapes. Through the processes of layering paint, experimenting with composition, mark-making and palette, I seek to express an ephemeral sense of balance, depth and luminosity. My paintings are moody and sensorial, imbued with ideas of transience and renewal. Essentially, I create emotive works with broad interpretive scope that invite people to reflect.
