It seems to be the prize fish in my family. A Jew Fish is what we call them here on the Mid North Coast. They are also known as Mulloway.
This gorgeous timber panel represents the water like movement in its Timber grain. Complimented by the timeless charcoal fish.

I'm Rachel Reading!
Having spent most of my life in the coastal area of Pacific Palms (Mid North Coast, NSW) my artworks are influenced and inspired by the natural beauty of the Australian coastline & contemporary home trends & designs.

Artistic encouragement came early via my creative family & the Pacific Palms Art Festival throughout my school years. This enabled me to win awards and receive commendations for my work.

As part of my Bachelor of Education Degree I majored in Creative Arts which continued my artistic journey.
​
I have worked with a range of mediums, however, i prefer charcoal on timber as from a distance the black is visually striking yet up close it is incredibly complex and detailed.
​
I enjoy art in its original form and choose to sell only original art works.
