Rachel Strickland is a contemporary Australian artist based in Adelaide, South Australia. Specialising in figurative portraits, Strickland shows the power of femininity through paintings of women in familiar or intimate settings. In her practice since 2016, Strickland has been able to contribute her take on themes regarding sexuality, gender and inequality. Strickland’s artworks draw inspiration from Gustav Klimt and Ben Quilty.
