Pines

Painted in the studio from a photo taken in the late afternoon. Using thinned oil paint, I wanted to create a sense of texture in the leaves of the trees and allow the light to penetrate through the leaves and branches.

I am a designer, teacher and artist living in Lismore, in far north NSW. I work in pastels, acrylic and oil paint. I am captivated by the Australian landscape and enjoy the challenge of expressing myself through various materials.
