Artwork Description

This is another one of my paintings to showcase an African beauty wearing a colourful head tie (duku) mainly worn by women in Ghana.

Artist Bio

I am a self taught artist passionate about capturing the innate beauty and cultural richness of African women through my paintings. My art revolves around portraying these women adorned in a variety of headdresses and traditional attire, celebrating the diversity and vibrancy of African cultures.

Using oil paints as my medium of choice, I strive to bring African women to life on canvas, capturing their grace, strength, and individuality. My artistic style is characterized by a fusion of realism and a touch of surrealism. With each brushstroke, I try to convey the intricate details of their headdresses and attire, while also capturing the depth and complexity of their expressions. My aim is to create a visual experience that is both captivating and thought – provoking.
