This photograph is part of my latest exploration, a journey into the ever-evolving landscape of photography as it intersects with the rapidly advancing realm of artificial intelligence. My new body of work is deeply influenced by the seismic shift occurring in the world of photographic representation, a shift that mirrors the groundbreaking emergence of geometric abstraction in the early 20th century.

In the same way that geometric abstraction represented a radical departure from representational art through its use of simple forms, non-illusionistic spaces, and nonobjective compositions, the advent of AI-generated photorealistic images marks a similar pivotal transition in photography. This intersection of technology and art opens up new avenues for creative expression, challenging traditional notions of what constitutes a photograph and what it means to be a photographer.
Central to my work is an exploration of the fundamental elements of photography: shapes, light, and shadow. These elements are the essence of the photographic medium, the building blocks from which all images are created. By focusing on these basics elements, I aim to strip away the complexities of photographic representation.
