Rare Abstract Art

This photograph showcases the beautiful feather-like patterns that were formed as the waves dispersed over the reef. This usually would not be seen by the naked eye, and to capture motion I slowed down the shutter speed of my camera to create this abstract style of artistic expression, however, I didn’t expect this beautiful feather to emerge.

I'm a landscape photographer from England residing on the beautiful island of Tasmania. I combine both my love for travel and photography to capture everyday treasured moments in nature.

I studied photography and developing prints in the darkroom in 2002. Although I am a digital photographer, I still try to keep a bit of the aesthetic feel from my darkroom days, especially coming through in my black-and-white imagery.

Most of my work has been on capturing timeless Tasmanian seascapes and their vast beauty, taking the viewer on a meditative journey, experiencing the calmness you feel at sea.

They will invite an ambient presence to any room.
