Artwork Description

The ancient city of Hampi in South Western part of India is home to numerous temples and structures built around the 15th and 16th century. While most of them are in ruins now, the Virupakshi temple is the only one where people throng for worship. On a late afternoon I saw this man riding his bullock cart home on a dusty road, with the temple behind him. I tried to capture the essence of what I saw that day.
