Hello,
My name is Rasa and I would like to introduce myself and my art.
I was born in Persia (Iran), emigrated to Australia and have travelled widely. I am an extroverted, energetic, romantic person
who loves life and sees the world around me through colour, art and nature.
I was fortunate to have spent my early years being influenced by the magical environment of my original home in Persia.
From the incredible blue intricate tiles in the Shah mosques to the smells and colours of spices in the souks to the beauty of the
silk scarves and tribal clothing colours, fashion and dance. These were my formative years that began my love of colour and art.
My life’s journey saw me move to Australia 30 years ago and this new world brought with it for me new vibrant colours and
experiences. Not only was I enthralled by the natural beauty and colours but I was able to express myself teaching Persian dancing
and experiencing adventures such as canyoning, rock climbing and bush walking. It is through such encounters with nature
that I truly gained inspiration and spiritual energy.
Australia also gave me a springboard for travel to many other places in the world. It was through these travels that I was able
to experience many different cultures, nature and art forms. From North Africa to various countries of the Mediterranean, Europe,
S.E. Asia and North America. I have been strongly influenced by the rich diversity of colours, cultures and nature in our wonderful world.
Today my art is the result of these influences. I currently work in Acrylic with attention on abstract impressionist art. I find that this
allows me to most effectively express my energy, romance and love of colour and flow.
