Rasen was born in North of Iraq and now lives as a former refugee in his new hometown Geelong, Victoria.
Art was Rasen's passion since he was a little kid. Then he decided to be a professional artist, so he completed a Bachelor degree in fine art from Mosul University.
Rasen specialises in oil, acrylic paint and graphic, but also has a big number of ink on paper artworks which were part of the exhibition held in Winnipeg, Canada in 2015.
Warm and deep colours characterise Rasen's artworks, and he loves to apply shadow and light techniques in prominently way. His paintings also represent a transformation and recreation of the human anatomy mixed with elements from nature to create figures that can express deep emotions, experience and own life philosophy. Rasen believes that art can readjust feelings, state of mind to help reach higher levels of self-acceptance to display visuals that can be strong to provide long-lasting satisfaction in different settings.
Rasen's artworks reached worldwide collectors; Australia, Canada, US and the Middle East.
